History

Sega Magazine was first published in 1994 and reported on Sega consoles available at that time, such as the Master System, Mega Drive, Mega-CD, 32X, and Game Gear. In November 1995, the magazine was restarted as Sega Saturn Magazine, and coverage of other Sega consoles was reduced over time.

The magazine featured reviews, previews, and demo discs. It also included interviews with game developers about topics like the tools and resources Sega provided. It regularly covered subjects that interested serious gamers, such as imported Japanese role-playing games and beat 'em ups. Even after the magazine's focus shifted to the Dreamcast, which replaced the Saturn in Europe, the title remained the same.
