Castlevania is a video game series created and published by Konami. The series first appeared in Japan on September 26, 1986, with the game Akumajō Dracula (Demon Castle Dracula), which was later released in the United States on May 1, 1987, and in PAL regions on December 19, 1988. Games in the series have been released on many video game consoles, handheld devices, and personal computers. Some titles have been re-released on multiple platforms and included in collection packages.

Characters from the series have appeared in other Konami games. The series has also inspired several music albums, which were first released by King Records.

Video games

Some games made by Konami or other game companies include parts of the Castlevania game series or characters from it. One example is a Bomberman spin-off game that includes characters inspired by different Konami game series. This game included a character named Sepia Belmont who could be played by players.
