Raw Fury AB is a Swedish video game publisher that focuses on releasing independent games. The company is located in Stockholm and was started in 2015 by Jonas Antonsson and Gordon Van Dyke.
History
The company was founded in 2015 by Jonas Antonsson, a former vice president of mobile at Paradox Interactive, and Gordon Van Dyke, who previously worked as a producer at EA DICE on Battlefield games. In April 2015, the company was introduced as a publisher for small and independent game developers. It called itself an "UnPublisher" because it aimed to change the traditional way publishing works by offering services that better support indie game development.
In July 2016, Karl Magnus Troedsson left his role as general manager at EA DICE to become a partner and co-owner of Raw Fury. In early September 2019, Raw Fury opened Fury Studios, an internal development team in Zagreb, Croatia, to help external developers with tasks like porting games and quality testing. At the same time, the company moved its main office to Stockholm to accommodate its growing number of employees, which reached about 40 people worldwide.
In August 2021, Altor Equity Partners purchased a majority ownership in Raw Fury for an amount not disclosed. Raw Fury stated that Altor’s experience and financial support would allow the company to increase its production capacity, expand its team, and publish larger projects while still supporting smaller and experimental games.
In October 2021, Raw Fury announced a first-look deal with DJ2 Entertainment to create television and film projects. In October 2025, Raw Fury’s sister publisher, Neon Doctrine, announced it would merge with Raw Fury as part of a larger restructuring. The games from Neon Doctrine’s collection would be managed by Raw Fury.
