The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 was the last event of the 2024 PUBG Mobile competitive season. For the PMGC 2024, 48 teams that earned a spot competed in the League Stage during the Group Stage, Survival Stage, and Last Chance phases in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This in-person event took place from October 31st to November 24th. The Grand Finals occurred in London, United Kingdom, on December 6–8. Fifteen teams that advanced from the League Stage joined the host country team in the finals. The championship had a total prize pool of $3,000,000 USD.
Venue
The league stage took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. On the other hand, the grand finals were held at ExCeL London in the United Kingdom.
Format
The tournament has two main stages: the League and the Grand Finals. The League stage includes three parts. It begins with the Group Stage, where 48 teams are divided into 3 groups of 16 teams each. Each group plays 24 matches during a specific week, spread over 4 matchdays with 6 matches each day. The top 3 teams in each group advance directly to the Grand Finals. Teams ranked 4th through 11th in each group move to the Survival Stage, while the bottom 5 teams are eliminated.
In the Survival Stage, the 24 remaining teams are divided into 3 groups of 8 teams each. These teams play 18 matches over 3 days in a Round-Robin format. The top 16 teams from this stage advance to the Last Chance stage, and the bottom 8 teams are eliminated.
The Last Chance stage includes 16 teams competing in 12 matches. The top 6 teams from this stage qualify for the Grand Finals, while the bottom 11 teams are eliminated.
The Grand Finals feature 16 teams, including 15 teams that qualified from the League stage and 1 team invited from the host country. These teams play 18 matches to determine the champion.
