Yacht Club Games, LLC is an American company that creates and sells video games. It is based in Los Angeles, California, and was started in 2011 by Sean Velasco, who previously worked at WayForward Technologies. The company introduced its first game, Shovel Knight, on March 14, 2013. It was released on June 26, 2014, after raising money through a Kickstarter campaign. In 2016, the company began publishing games made by other studios. Its first published game was Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, a collection of two games, which came out later that year. The company’s second published game was Cyber Shadow, created by Mechanical Head Studios, and it was released in 2021. In February 2022, the company announced its second original game, Mina the Hollower.

Before the release of Mina the Hollower, the studio faced financial challenges. Sean Velasco said the game’s release was "make-or-break for sure."
