Lucky is a crime thriller television miniseries created by Jonathan Tropper for Apple TV. It stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. Reese Witherspoon and Cassie Pappas are among the producers. The series is based on Marissa Stapley's novel of the same name and is set to premiere on July 15, 2026.

Production
The series is created by Jonathan Tropper, based on Marissa Stapley's novel with the same name. Tropper works with Cassie Pappas to help lead the show. Apple Studios produces the series along with Tropper Ink. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter from Hello Sunshine, a part of Candle Media, help oversee the production. Anya Taylor-Joy also helps oversee the production through her company, Ladykiller, and she is the lead actor in the series. Apple TV approved the series in December 2024. Later that month, Jonathan Van Tulleken signed on to direct and help oversee the production. In January 2025, Annette Bening and Timothy Olyphant joined the cast. On February 20, 2025, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor joined the cast. On February 24, 2025, Drew Starkey joined the cast in a recurring role. In March 2025, Clifton Collins Jr. and Mo McRae joined the cast in recurring roles. In April 2025, William Fichtner and Eric Lange joined the cast in recurring roles.
Filming began in Las Vegas and Los Angeles in February 2025 and ended in July 2025.
Release
The show Lucky is planned to be released on Apple TV on July 15, 2026. The first two episodes will be available right away, and the remaining episodes will come out every week until August 19.
