Career

In 1992, Collette Michaud hired Bill Tiller as an animator for Brian Moriarty's version of The Dig at LucasArts adventure games. He worked on the project through all its versions and eventually became the lead artist and art director for the final game. He was also the lead background artist for The Curse of Monkey Island and the lead artist for Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. In 2001, he left LucasArts to work at ArenaNet.

In 2002, Bill Tiller co-founded Autumn Moon Entertainment to create his own adventure games. The company released A Vampyre Story in 2008 and Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island in 2009. Financial problems with the publisher, Crimson Cow, led Tiller to work independently in the industry. Money from his work on Snuggle Truck allowed him to continue developing his own games. Before Snuggle Truck became successful, Tiller was the art director for MunkyFun, a studio started by former LucasArts developers.

In 2013, Tiller began a crowdfunding campaign for an episodic, independent prequel to A Vampyre Story called A Vampyre Story: Year One. The Kickstarter campaign did not reach its goal, but the game is still being developed. That same year, he worked with IF Games in Switzerland as a game designer for the 3D adventure Perils of Man, which was released in 2014. In August 2014, Bill Tiller launched a Kickstarter campaign for a spin-off of Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island titled Duke Grabowski: Mighty Swashbuckler!.
