Good-Feel Co., Ltd. (株式会社グッド・フィール, Kabushiki gaisha Guddo Fīru) (also called GoödFeël) is a Japanese company that creates video games. It focused on making educational games for children and adults for the Nintendo DS before starting to make games for consoles.

In 2008, the company began creating the game Wario Land: Shake It! for the Wii. This was Good-Feel’s first game made for a home console. After this, Good-Feel worked closely with Nintendo to create games featuring characters like Kirby, Yoshi, and Princess Peach. The company also made and released several games on its own.

History

Good-Feel was started by Shigeharu Umezaki and Etsunobu Ebisu, who used to work for Konami on games like Castlevania and Goemon. The company began in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, in 2005 and opened a production facility in Tokyo the same year. Its first games were educational titles.

They approached Nintendo to create a game. A longtime Nintendo employee, Takahiro Harada, asked Ebisu if he wanted to make a new Wario Land game. This led to the development of Wario Land: Shake It!, a 2D platform game released in 2008. The game used hand-drawn graphics created with the help of animation studios Production I.G and Kusanagi.

Good-Feel worked with Nintendo again to release Kirby's Epic Yarn, a game based on the Kirby franchise with a yarn theme. The game was originally planned as an original title called Fluff's Epic Yarn, but Nintendo told the team to change the project to include Kirby. HAL Laboratory and Warpstar helped manage the Kirby character. The game was released in 2010 and later released on the Nintendo 3DS as Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn in 2019. This version added power-ups, mini-games, and a new game mode.

In 2011, Good-Feel developed the mini-games Skip Skimmer and Veggie Guardin’ for Wii Play: Motion. Later, in June 2014, Nintendo and Good-Feel announced Yoshi's Woolly World for the Nintendo Wii U. The game included a two-player co-op mode. To create in-game assets, the developers made real wool items. The game was released in 2015 and later released on the 3DS as Poochy and Yoshi’s Woolly World in 2017.

In March 2019, Good-Feel released Yoshi's Crafted World. The developers used the Unreal Engine to create the game’s cardboard cutout and craft style. In October 2019, the company announced Monkey Barrels, its first self-published title and the first game in over ten years not published by Nintendo. A physical version was released in 2020. Monkey Barrels was released for the Nintendo Switch in November 2019 and for Microsoft Windows in February 2021.

In October 2020, during an interview with Famitsu, Good-Feel said it was opening an office in Osaka and working on an unnamed project set in Japan. On November 30, 2023, Good-Feel launched Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru: Oracle Saitarou no Sainan!! for the Nintendo Switch in Japan. The game is considered a spiritual successor to the Goemon series and features a tanuki disguised as a human who uses a drum to defeat enemies. The game was released worldwide for Switch and PC in September 2024 as Bakeru. The developers added new attacks, made the game faster, and included new enemies. A physical edition for North America and Europe was released in February 2025.

In March 2024, Good-Feel released Princess Peach: Showtime!, the first game to star Princess Peach since 2005’s Super Princess Peach. This was the first time in 25 years that Ebisu served as director.
