Rare, formerly known as Rareware, is a British video game company started by Tim and Chris Stamper after the company Ultimate Play the Game closed. Since Rare was created, it has made many different types of games for various gaming systems, mostly from Nintendo and Microsoft. The company is most famous for its platform games, such as the Donkey Kong Country series and the Banjo-Kazooie series. It is also well known for creating two Nintendo 64 first-person shooter games: GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark. This list includes only games made by Rare after it was formed. It does not include games made or published by Ultimate Play the Game.
